Lidia Commerce took part in WORLDEF Istanbul 2026, held at the Yenikapı Event Area in Istanbul from 11 to 13 June 2026.

Bringing together e-commerce and retail professionals, brands, marketplaces, technology providers, logistics companies and payment organisations, the event offered a broad view of how the digital commerce ecosystem continues to evolve. For Lidia Commerce, participating in WORLDEF was an opportunity to remain close to this transformation and to connect its enterprise commerce perspective with the priorities shaping the market.

A Meeting Point for the Digital Commerce Ecosystem

Digital commerce is no longer defined by the online storefront alone. Its development increasingly depends on the relationship between customer experience, product information, marketplace operations, payments, logistics, fulfilment and the enterprise systems behind them.

WORLDEF Istanbul 2026 reflected this wider landscape. Its programme addressed subjects including artificial intelligence, digital marketing, logistics, payment systems, marketplace strategies, cross-border trade, customer experience and data-driven growth. The combination of conference content, exhibition areas and networking created a setting in which commercial priorities and technology decisions could be considered together.

According to the organiser, the event was designed to bring together more than 30,000 participants from over 50 countries, alongside more than 240 exhibitors and 200 speakers across three stages. This international scope reinforced Istanbul’s position as a point of connection between Türkiye, the MENA region and the wider global commerce ecosystem.

From Individual Channels to Connected Commerce

One of the clearest developments across the e-commerce landscape is the move from isolated digital channels towards more connected operating models.

Enterprises are managing a growing mix of direct-to-consumer stores, B2B ordering portals, marketplaces, mobile experiences and partner-facing platforms. Each channel may serve a different audience, but all of them depend on consistent product information, accurate pricing and availability, coordinated order processes and reliable integration with core business systems.

This creates a challenge that cannot be resolved by adding new interfaces alone. Organisations need an architecture that allows channels, data and operational processes to work together without requiring every existing system to be replaced at once.

Lidia Commerce approaches this challenge through a modular digital commerce platform supporting models such as B2C, B2B, D2C, B2E, B2F, Marketplace and Product Information Management. Its API-first approach enables enterprises to introduce relevant capabilities progressively and connect them with existing ERP, CRM, e-commerce, portal, mobile and operational systems.

Marketplace Growth Requires Operational Readiness

Marketplace strategies and cross-border commerce were central parts of the wider WORLDEF agenda. Both can create new growth opportunities, but they also increase operational complexity.

Expanding into new channels or markets requires more than making products visible to a larger audience. Businesses must manage product content in different formats, coordinate seller or supplier relationships, maintain catalogue quality, apply market-specific commercial rules and connect order and fulfilment processes across multiple systems.

For enterprise teams, the important question is therefore not only where to sell, but how to establish an operating foundation that can support growth without creating fragmented data and manual work.

A modular approach can help organisations begin with a defined business priority—such as centralising product data, modernising a B2B ordering journey, launching a new direct channel or establishing a marketplace—and expand the model as requirements evolve.

The Growing Role of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence was another prominent theme at WORLDEF Istanbul 2026. Across commerce, AI is influencing how organisations create and enrich product content, improve discovery, personalise experiences, analyse customer behaviour and support operational decisions.

The value of these applications, however, depends heavily on the quality and accessibility of the underlying data. Product attributes, catalogue structures, inventory information and commercial rules must be accurate and governed if AI-supported experiences are to produce dependable results.

This makes data readiness an increasingly important part of AI readiness. For commerce leaders, preparing for intelligent automation involves not only selecting new tools, but also creating a connected foundation across product information, channels and enterprise systems.

Continuing the Conversation Beyond WORLDEF

Lidia Commerce’s participation in WORLDEF Istanbul 2026 forms part of its continued engagement with the e-commerce, retail and technology ecosystem.

The event’s focus on connected commerce, marketplaces, cross-border growth and artificial intelligence closely reflects the questions enterprises are addressing as they modernise digital sales operations. These subjects also underline the importance of technology models that can adapt to different channels, markets and business relationships while remaining integrated with existing systems.

As commerce models continue to develop, Lidia Commerce will continue working with enterprises and ecosystem partners to explore practical, scalable approaches to digital commerce transformation.
